Sphera Media Lab, the independent media forum organised by Sphera Network and European Lab , is coming back to LaVallée in Brussels on December 3rd.
Bringing together media professionals from across Europe, this day will be dedicated to collectively exploring how independent media can strengthen their practices, expand their communities, and defend the freedoms on which their work depends.
With workshops, masterclasses, keynotes, screenings & networking opportunities, participants will reflect on the current challenges faced by the independent media sector.

Got an idea worth sharing? We want to hear it! European Lab & Sphera Network are opening submissions for the next Sphera Media Lab, help us bring fresh perspectives to the event!
Topics we are tackling:
— Technological independence
(i.e: sovereignty, tools, mutualisation)
— Economic independence
(i.e: cooperative models)
— Editorial independence
(i.e: press freedom, resisting the far-right)
We’re Looking For:
➝ Masterclasses: led by an expert sharing advanced knowledge, techniques & hands-on insight
➝ Keynotes: inspiring talks grounded in a specific case study

We pay particular attention to having parity and diversity in our programmes. Please take these criterion in consideration in your proposals.
How to Apply?
Submit your masterclass / keynote before 31 August.
Selected contributors will travel to Brussels, with transport, accommodation, and a fee covered.
